Exploration and Discovery - Getting under the skin of it
This report from partners TLAP/SCIE and Shared Lives reports back on Phase II of the work undertaken by the Social Care Innovation Network. It seeks to discover how to develop, through learning groups, practical lessons on how we can develop the conditions in which innovations in social care can flourish or proliferate.
Drawing on a selection of local studies it has a particular focus on developing a more in-depth asset-based areas model; re-designing commissioning so that it supports innovation by becoming more citizen led; and repurposing self-directed support so that people are at the centre of the support planning process, enabling them to make choices to about the services they receive.
