Future Leaders Programme: Housing LIN opens call for applications to its new early career cohort
Sponsored by Inspired Villages Group, we want the new programme to be a small, diverse and dynamic community of early career individuals with no more than 3 years of experience in our sector. We are now looking for up to 10 committed people with an interest in housing for an ageing population to be part of our 4th intake.
Previous cohorts included early career representation from operational housing management in general needs and specialist accommodation in both the social housing and private sectors and those starting out in the work of:
- home improvement
- occupational therapy
- health or social care
- architecture
- property development and planning
- as well as in policy formation and research
Jamie Bunce, CEO of Inspired Villages Group said:
“Our purpose is to create communities where people can live the best years of their lives. To deliver the vision, we need to find, nurture, and retain the very best talent. Supporting innovative future leaders and bringing fresh thinking to the sector is paramount, which is why we’re so delighted to be involved in the Housing LIN Future Leaders programme. I look forward to welcoming the class of 2024!”
Commencing in July 2024, this programme offers a unique opportunity for you to gain valuable insights and learn through the lived experience of invited industry leaders. Discover the sources of their inspiration, the people who influenced them, the key qualities they sought and the authentic path they took in developing their leadership styles. Each session will be interactive, encouraging lively discussions and the sharing of skills and experiences.
You can look forward to a series of in-person or online sessions throughout the year (a maximum of 4 in total). In return, you’ll be invited to write a guest blog about your experience of being part of the group and the learning and insights you have gathered during the programme.
And lastly, hot off the heels of this year’s Housing LIN’s Annual Summit – A Festival of Ideas, you will be invited to give a brief collective presentation on what you found most rewarding.
Jeremy Porteus, CEO of Housing LIN commented:
“We are very grateful for the support of Inspired Villages Group and their ongoing commitment to helping early career-goers develop and enhance the skills and qualities necessary for effective leadership. Each cohort of Future Leaders has well and truly demonstrated the value of open discussion and shared learning to both listen and learn from key leaders in the sector and to collaborate in preparation for that year's Housing LIN Summit - A Festival of Ideas. Now it’s your turn to embark on a transformative journey towards leadership in our sector, and to help shape the future of housing for an ageing population.”
