Guide to resettling older residents from hostels

This report published by the UK Coalition on Older Homelessness describes the needs of older people who have lived in hostels for many years and whose needs are not able to be met in that environment. The report provides information about types of need, how to develop plans for permanent accommodation and how to engage service users.

The report contains a link to an audit tool that can be used to assess the number and support needs of older homeless people in an area. In 2007 some authorities used the tool to audit their own areas and the findings have been summarised in a report that you can access via this page.
