Loneliness Annual Report: The first year

This Annual Report by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport provides an update on the progress made against each of the commitments set out in ‘A connected society: a strategy for tackling loneliness’ published in October 2018, and sets out the government’s future direction of travel.

‘A connected society: a strategy for tackling loneliness’ was the world’s first government strategy developed to tackle loneliness in England. Marking a shift in the way we see and act on loneliness, it contained 60 new policy commitments from across nine government departments.
