Real time evaluation of Leeds Neighbourhood Networks
This report for the Centre for Ageing Better evaluates the response in Leeds to COVID-19. The Leeds Neighbourhood Networks (LNNs) support older people to live independently and to participate in their communities. There are 37 LNNs covering the whole city Following the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020, the LNNs adapted their service offer rapidly to meet the needs of people living in their communities.
Undertaken by The Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research (CRESR) at Sheffield Hallam University, the report summaries the key outcomes of the resultant service transformation under COVID-19. It found that the Networks shifted their service to a more individualised offer of support eg provision of food and/or services or more personalised support for people with greater needs, socially and emotionally, including where people where digitally excluded.
