This Trauma Informed Design brief by West Waddy Archadia Studios aims to form a framework for trauma informed design that can be applied to both new build and existing properties through combining the disciplines of psychology and architecture.
Trauma Informed Design interlinks housing and health & well being to assist people who have suffered trauma with their healing process. This document can be applied to a variety of vulnerable groups including:
- learning disabilities
- rehousing the homeless
- and people who have suffered from domestic violence.
The brief sets out some fundamental ideas and approaches that can be applied in a variety of situations which should benefit the majority.
