Please could you submit it in the Q&A box. Thanks. 00:38:41 Sally Taylor-Ridgway | Housing LIN: (Working link) Blog by Claire Wise (Assistant Director of Care and Support Strategy, Metropolitan Thames Valley HA) - Investing in existing specialist housing: The importance of quality and suitability standards: https://www.housinglin.org.uk/blogs/Investing-in-existing-specialist-housing-The-importance-of-quality-and-suitability-standards/ 00:40:37 Declan Gaffney: Claire, is MTV Later Living Design Guide available to the public? 00:44:32 joanne.kirrane Melin: Josie, so good to hear a vision that seeks to respond to aspiration rather than meeting need alone. 00:47:24 Sally Taylor-Ridgway | Housing LIN: Blog by Francis Burrows (Former Director of Support and Development, Orbit) highlighting Orbit's approach and thoughts on the APPG Inquiry report findings - Creating homes that older people love: https://www.housinglin.org.uk/blogs/Creating-homes-that-older-people-love/ 00:54:22 Femi Robinson: Thank you all, I also need to leave, but this has been very interesting to hear from the presenters and organisations and how they are working towards a better future and service for older peoples housing services. I too am looking forward to receiving the recording. Warm Regards 01:02:13 Sally Taylor-Ridgway | Housing LIN: If anyone is unfamiliar with the term CME, it stands for Continuous Market Engagement! 01:05:52 joanne.kirrane Melin: Abdul, I agree with your comments re the preservation of the asset, circa 2012 the Institute of Public Care estimated the average value of a single sheltered housing unit at £40k and concluded that we are unlikely to see the same level of investment in housing for older people again. 01:10:27 Sally Taylor-Ridgway | Housing LIN: A 2022 blog by Lois Beech on Sheltered housing for the 21st Century: https://www.housinglin.org.uk/blogs/Sheltered-housing-for-the-21st-Century/ 01:10:43 Sally Taylor-Ridgway | Housing LIN: For more information on Sheltered Housing, visit https://www.housinglin.org.uk/Topics/browse/Housing/HousingforOlderPeople/ShelteredHousing/ 01:12:21 Sarah Davis: thank you all speakers, interesting report, apologies that need to leave now 01:13:08 Emma Reed: Great session - thank you to all speakers sharing their great work 01:13:34 Kirstie Garlick: Thank you - really great session 01:13:44 Kerry: excellent, informative session - thanks to all the speakers 01:16:24 Gemma De Brito: Strongly agree with you Claire about affordable rent not being an appropriate or helpful rent product for sheltered and supported accommodation. 01:18:25 Steven Shanahan: Thank you everyone 01:20:12 Jerome Billeter | Housing LIN: From Sheila Peace: with regard to our research with the Bangladeshi community in East London - we are analysing our interviews with nearly 80 people and we find that people do not know about alternative housing to mainstream housing. There are people living in shelters hosing but greater explanation within the appropriate languages is needed. Also faith practices need to be taken on board. This has happened in Sonali Gardens in Shadwell - architects PRP but ew of our interviews knew about this. So the diversity of issues raised by different BAME communities needs to be taken on board. See our Amar Bari, Amar Jibon on the HousingLIN https://www.housinglin.org.uk/amar-bari-amar-jibon 01:21:24 Erica Kenny: Thank you everyone for a really informative session. 01:22:21 Jenny Collier: Thank you :) 01:22:47 RO96741: Thank you for an informative and interesting session 01:25:41 Sally Taylor-Ridgway | Housing LIN: Technology for our Ageing Population: Panel for Innovation: https://www.housinglin.org.uk/tappi/ 01:25:42 Jerome Billeter | Housing LIN: More about TAPPI at: https://www.housinglin.org.uk/tappi/ 01:26:42 Jerome Billeter | Housing LIN: The TAPPI Principles can be found at: https://www.housinglin.org.uk/tappi/principles/the-revised-tappi-principles/ 01:27:10 Nicholas Falk: Great to hear Lord Best say that we need to make it much easier to move to homes that are better suited to changing needs as we age, Perhaps this is an issue that the Commission on New Towns under Sir Mivhael Lyons and Kate Barket might want to consider. New Towns need to help towns and city regain their balance! 01:30:14 Darrin Davies: Excellent session. Change is afoot... 01:30:29 Samsung SM-X205: thank you all, really interesting 01:30:37 Gary Hortop: Thanks you .... great session!! 01:30:39 Tracey Burton: Great discussions...thank you 01:30:42 Lois Beech: I really like 'community living' from Cardiff city council's impressed new build programme: https://cardiffliving.wales/community-living/ But also United St Saviours Appleby Blue avoids any terminology which perhaps is also the way to go! 01:30:43 Liz: Thank you all very interesting.
