Digital Interventions for Reducing Social Isolation and Loneliness in Older Adults

WHO Digital Interventions IMAGE

This evidence and gap map and accompanying paper is part of a suite of evidence and gap maps published by the World Health Organization (WHO) on interventions for reducing social isolation and loneliness in older adults.

Produced as part of the UN Decade of Healthy Ageing, it aims to help researchers and decision makers discover existing evidence on social isolation and loneliness, find solutions supported by evidence, and identify gaps in the evidence where more research is required.

The table focuses on digital interventions and cross references a cluster of useful research findings against different interventions and individual, community and/or system outcomes. For more detail, also check out the accompanying paper.
