Developing age-friendly communities in urban regeneration projects
In our latest Housing LIN guest blog Camilla Lewis, senior lecturer in Ageing and Urban Studies at Newcastle University, writes about the Developing age-friendly communities in the Northern Gateway urban regeneration project, which she co-authored with Mark Hammond, Niamh Kavanagh, Chris Phillipson and Sophie Yarker.
This blog examines how new housing can meet the needs of older people. It concludes with a list of recommendations for urban planners when considering the housing needs of communities.
