HLINks - Housing LIN’s weekly update at your fingertips!
Welcome to #Jeremytalks and our must-read weekly bulletin, HLINks, week-ending Friday, 17 September 2021.
This is where you can take a tour of relevant resources and events on later life housing and independent living with regard to homes and communities, health and social care, design and technology, dementia, planning matters and more.
For example, this week, we published a #HLINBlog by Lorna Cameron, CEO of Horizon Housing, who reflects on collaboration with CaCHE, HACT and Stirring University on housing adaptations study. We’re also delighted to announce that ClwydAlyn Housing Association are the new sponsors of Housing LIN Cymru. They are very well known to Housing LIN members and we are thrilled that they have joined the small family of Housing LIN sponsors in Wales.
We also highlight a range of items that we think will be of interest to you, including:
- Habinteg’s annual #ForAccessibleHomes week
- Age Friendly GM’s Framework for Creating Age-Friendly Homes in Great Manchester
- Housing 21 Conference – Is housing responding to the diverse needs of older people? – 06/10/2021 10:00am – 4:00pm
- The Centre for Ageing Better have launched the findings of their Good Home Inquiry
In other news, we would welcome Michael Gove's appointment as the new Housing Secretary and look forward to him reaffirming his department's commitment to establish a Housing with Care Task Force.
And make sure to book your place and join us at next week’s #HAPPIHour with Winckworth Sherwood on investing in places and communities to make an idea home which is the first session of our Autumn series.
