HLINks - Housing LIN's weekly update at your fingertips
All the news you need and more.
Friday, 18 March 2022
Welcome to #Jeremytalks and my weekly round-up week-ending Friday, 18 February 2022.
This week saw the launch of the Legrand White Paper, by the Good Governance Institute outlining how digital can be embraced across public services in a smart and innovative way and references both the TAPPI Inquiry Report and RE-COV study.
Staying on the technology front and the TAPPI developments in particular, the Dunhill Medical Trust (DMT) have announced the recruitment process for the Co-Production and Engagement Lead to support the exciting next phase of TAPPI.
To coincide, we are pleased to publish DMT’s Sarah Allport’s blog revealing how the evidence gathered by the Inquiry in Phase 1 is built upon and used to create a widely accepted Framework which embeds the recommended TAPPI Principles within a transformational change programme.
In other news, we also published a guest blog by Better Living’s Margaret Gilbert in which she explores how the “Better Living Community Hub” could provide an opportunity for diverse and intergenerational social encounters between older adults & adults with learning disabilities.
Other news that caught my interest this week, included:
- The Economy 2030 Inquiry: Under Pressure
- Places for People: Places for People and the University of Cambridge launch new report into self and custom build homes
- Cambridge University Press: Co-research with older people: a systematic literature review
- ARCO: Integrated Retirement Communities for older people

TAPPI2: From Principles to Implementation - Weekly updates
Funded by the Dunhill Medical Trust (DMT), and supported by the Housing LIN and TEC Services Association (TSA), TAPPI Phase 2 will ensure that the evidence gathered by the Inquiry in Phase 1 is built upon and used to create a widely accepted Framework which embeds the recommended TAPPI Principles, as elaborated on by Sarah Allport at DMT in this Housing LIN guest blog. This will be achieved by developing and testing supportive guidance and tools in live “locality testbeds”.
Open for applications for a Co-Production and Engagement Partner
To support the delivery of the programme we are seeking applications for a Co-Production and Engagement Partner to work with us and the locality testbeds to ensure the views of people who draw on services both current and future, their families and carers and housing organisations are reflected in the programme and the Framework.
Launch of TAPPI2 at ITEC Conference
We will be formally launching TAPPI2 at the TSA ITEC Conference on Tuesday 29 March and opening a funding call for organisations who wish to be considered to be a locality testbed. The Housing LIN has secured their members a 40% discount on attendance fees at ITEC2022.
Legrand White Paper, Resetting the Digital Premium
A new report, published by the Good Governance Institute, outlines how digital can be embraced across public services in a smart and innovative way.
With reference to the TAPPI Inquiry report and the RE-COV study, the paper focuses on the practical steps that can be taken to achieve this digital premium.
