HLINks - Catch up with the Housing LIN
Let's catch up!
Welcome to this week's edition of HLINks, your go-to e-bulletin for all things related to housing with care | Friday, 24 February 2023
With our highly anticipated week-long Summit just around the corner, you'll have to excuse me that #JeremyTalks features the latest news and updates related to the upcoming record-breaking Festival of Ideas!
First of all, I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to all of you who have signed up to attend one or more of our 10 FREE summit sessions. We are thrilled to have received over 3000 registrations across our 5-day event, making this the highest number of attendees since our Summit went virtual in 2020. If you haven't already registered, don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to engage with leading experts in the field! Check out our programme and book your spot(s) before it's too late – registrations will remain open until 24 hours before each session.
In anticipation of next Tuesday's Summit session, "Inspiring young talent: investing in our future housing and care leaders," we are excited to share with you two insightful guest blogs by members of our Futures Leaders' programme. Be sure to read "Learning to live the best years of your life: Planning for the Unplanned," by Inspired Life UK's Ellen Pearce and Workplace Culture - What could it look? by P+HS Architects' Henriette Pissarro.
I was also delighted to be been invited by Tunstall Healthcare to share our reflections on their report with the County Councils Network, "Adopting the right technology to transform social care". Join us on Wednesday, 1 March, for their Summit session on "Telecares: Technology and Healthy Ageing at Home" where we will continue the discussion.
On the publication front, we look forward to joining forces with Shakespeare Martineau for the launch of their latest "Moving on" White Paper at the opening Summit session next week. Later in the week, we will also be releasing a new Housing LIN Case Study, showcasing a new scheme for people with a learning disability and autism in Dorset, built using Modern Methods of Construction techniques.
Lastly, please note that due to our annual Summit taking place all week, there will be no edition of HLINks next Friday. We will resume our regular schedule on Friday, 10 March, and look forward to sharing more news, views, resources, and events related to housing with care matters next month.
Stay connected, stay curious!

Darius Ghadiali, data analyst & knowledge exchange officer, shares...
This year I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of the Future Leaders programme where I’ve had the opportunity to attend a number of sessions, along with a group of other future leader participants, in which a number of speakers from the housing and care sector have spoken about what makes good leadership, and their experiences through their career.
I’ve written a blog post to summarise the experience, in which I detail which of the aspects of the programme I found most useful and enjoyable to learn. In addition to my blog, I’ve enjoyed reading through the blog posts of the other future leader participants and find it interesting to see their perspectives on what they found most valuable.
On Tuesday, 28 February I’ll be participating, alongside the other participants and guest speakers, the Housing LIN Summit session: Inspiring young talent: investing in our future housing and care leaders.
