HLINks - Catch up with the Housing LIN
Let's catch up!
Welcome to this week's edition of HLINks, your go-to e-bulletin for all things related to housing with care | Friday, 17 March 2023
Following our most successful Summit and the outstanding session we held during the week on Inspiring Young Talent, we are delighted to publish a guest blog on empathic leadership by Respect's head of influence, Caroline Bernard who shared her experience during last year's programme.
This week, we also issued a survey on behalf of Tunstall Healthcare entitled 'Beyond 2025 - care technology in housing' to hear by Monday, 27 March your views on digitally enabled care services in the housing sector beyond the digital communications switchover.
And, I was also delighted to speak at ADASS's Yorkshire and Humber Commissioning Network and to attend the Dementia & Housing Working Group and the Amar Bari, Amar Jibon project board meeting.
Other things that caught my interest this week includes:
- Housing Today reports that the Government's budget slammed by the housing sector
- Our weekly TAPPI cast update
- A new report on Supported Housing and homelessness by the National Housing Federation
- SCIE's survey on the understandings and experiences of coproduction
- The King's Fund paper on digital health and care inclusion
- Age UK report on the case for an energy tariff
- King’s College London's workshop on collaboratively designing loneliness-detecting technology
Lastly, we are always keen to hear stories, receive your good practice case studies and thought leadership. If you would like to contribute, email us at: comms@housinglin.org.uk.

Using integrated care to live happier, healthier lives: What do service providers need to know?
Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) and the greater adoption of technology, will provide significant direction on how to use information in the right way to help our population live happier and healthier lives. As a nation we are living longer and we need to use information to make better informed choices.

Researchers at King’s College London are developing technology that intends to measure when someone is lonely and make sure people get support at the right time.
