HLINks - Catch up with the Housing LIN
Let's catch up!
Welcome to this week's edition of HLINks, your go-to e-bulletin for all things related to housing with care | Friday, 21 April 2023
This week, we were delighted to announce that United St Saviour’s Charity, a charitable organisation dedicated to providing community investments and provision of almshouses for older people, became a new corporate sponsor of the Housing LIN, and exclusive sponsor of our almhouse webpages.
And, following a brief intermission after our successful virtual Summit earlier this year, our HAPPI Hour webinar series has resumed this week. Our inaugural session for the Spring/Summer series focused on the Archbishops Reimagining Care Commission. If you missed it, you can now rewatch it here.
Other items that caught my interest this week include:
- Independent Age campaign video: From Arlene Phillips to Tony Blackburn on a Commissioner for Older People and Ageing
- World Health Organization guide: National programmes for age-friendly cities and communities
- The Times article: Why is downsizing so difficult?
- National Housing Federation report: Supported Housing development survey results
- UKRI Healthy Ageing Challenges funded projects: examples of Healthy Ageing in Place
- Everon: YouTube case study
- The King’s Fund feature: Moving from exclusion to inclusion in digital health and care
- Resolution Foundation briefing note: How people living in poor quality housing have fared during the cost of living crisis
- Housing 21 news item: Launch of new housing academy
And, in case you haven't secured your spot yet, we're pleased to provide information about our upcoming HAPPI Hour session on Tuesday, 25th April in collaboration with Look Ahead Care and Support, How can supported housing providers help the NHS with some of its greatest challenges?
Finally, we're always eager to hear your stories and receive your case studies and thought leadership on good practices. If you would like to contribute, email us at: comms@housinglin.org.uk.
Stay connected, stay curious!
