HLINks - Catch up with the Housing LIN
Let's catch up!
Welcome to this week's HLINks, your housing with care e-bulletin | Friday, 23 June 2023
Welcome to #JeremyTalks,
This week, as part of Mencap's Learning Disability Awareness Week, we featured a range of Learning Disability and housing resources. Notably, we partnered with West Waddy Archadia (WWA) for a HAPPI Hour webinar on Trauma Informed Design within Learning Disabilities Environments.
We also published a new Housing LIN Case Study by Zoe Robertson, Assistant Director at Manchester City Council, examining the transformative potential of Neighbourhood Apartments for hospital discharge. Delighted that Zoe will also join us for an invite-only Housing LIN roundtable next week, in collaboration with Legrand, focused on the link between housing, health and social care, and assistive technology.
This week also marked the inaugural session of Lord Best's new APPG Inquiry, into how best to regenerate our existing supply of outdated sheltered housing for our 21st century expectations. Housing LIN is proud to serve as the secretariat for this Inquiry.
