We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who joined us at the Extra Care Housing: Past, Present, Future event in Harrogate on 10th November. 

It was a pleasure to co-host on this occasion alongside North Yorkshire Council, ADASS, and LGA Partners in Care and Health to collectively explore the future landscape of housing with care for older people over the next 20 years.

In January this year, the British Geriatrics Society published a statement about the rights of older people to health and social care. Housing LIN supported this statement – our members see the impact of the crisis in health and social care on older people every day.

The British Geriatrics Society have refreshed their call for action and the steps that must be taken, and we again lend our support.

Work with IMPACT in 2024-25

IMPACT news item

Impact Improving Care Together (IMPACT) are looking for organisations that will work with them in 2024-2025.

These organisations will host one of their IMPACT Demonstrator or Facilitaror projects, or take part in one of their IMPACT Networks. They call these organisations IMPACT 'sites'.

Applications close on Thursday 30 November.
