Housing LIN is proud to join Intergenerational Housing Steering Group
Intergenerational England has initiated the creation of an Intergenerational Housing Steering Group (IHSG), joining forces with leading housing organisations Clarion, Clarion Futures, HACT, Housing LIN and Sovereign Network Group (SNG).
We're thrilled to be part of this Steering Group and we look forward to bringing our knowledge and expertise to bridge the gap in measuring and demonstrating the impactful outcomes of intergenerational initiatives within the housing sector.
Invitation to APPG on Housing and Care for Older People Event
The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Housing and Care for Older People has been organising an inquiry on the regeneration of outdated “sheltered housing”.
We are sharing the results of our investigation to date, at a meeting – to immediately follow our APPG’s AGM – from 10:30am to 12noon on Wednesday 6 March in the House of Lords.

Thinking about Stigma in Housing, Health and Social Care Delivery
The first year of the Intersectional Stigma of Place-Based Ageing (ISPA) project focused on conducting a full evidence review of the academic literature around place, age and disability, exploring and understanding stigma.
This briefing shows how stigma can lead to increased barriers to services, exclusion, and negative experiences, particularly for older and disabled people.

Supporting People Living with Dementia in Extra Care Housing (DemECH) Project
The Supporting People Living with Dementia in Extra Care Housing (DemECH) project was an 18-month study funded by the NIHR School for Social Care Research and led by the University of Worcester which used a mixed methods approach to explore how Extra Care Housing (ECH) can help people to live well with dementia.
The study findings resulted in a Key Insight Booklet to guide future Extra Care Housing development, alongside video and audio diaries sharing direct experiences of people living with dementia and their experience of Extra Care Housing.
