With the General Election this week, it was great to see the Financial Times' coverage last week of the Housing and Ageing Alliance (HAA) calls for the political parties to address the housing needs of older people.

Nottinghamshire County Council support accommodation market engagement sessions taking place in July
Nottinghamshire County Council will host engagement sessions with Regulated Providers and Housing Developers to support partnerships and build our understanding of the market needs in developing supported accommodation across the county.

Carers UK's Caring Survey - Have Your Say!
The Carers UK annual State of Caring survey is the most extensive survey into unpaid carers’ experiences in the UK.
This year, there is a specific section on housing in the survey, focusing on 3 key questions:
- carers’ housing situations
- any challenges carers might be experiencing with managing housing costs
- and any changes to carers’ housing situations as a result of caring.

This report by the New Economics Foundation addresses a gap in understanding of the potential role that community housing can play in the north-east of England.
