Before we explore this week's HLINKs, we’re excited to invite you to tomorrow's HAPPI Hour webinar, where we’ll discuss inclusive strategies for creating supportive homes and environments, especially for individuals with learning disabilities and autistic people.
We'll be joined by:
- Eryl Balazs from NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight who will discuss health and housing partnerships
- Professor Sara Ryan from Manchester Metropolitan University will share key research on what people with learning disabilities want as they age, particularly regarding permanent homes
- and Stephanie Kyle, a Senior Architect, who will talk about design for neurodiversity and supportive environments for people with a learning disability and autistic people.

United St Saviour’s Appleby Blue Triumphs at National Housing Design Awards 2024
We're pleased to report that at the 2024 National Housing Design Awards, Appleby Blue, a project by United St Saviour's, claimed both the HAPPI Award and the Blue Riband Winner Award!
Hailed for its innovative design and contribution to later-life housing, Appleby Blue was celebrated by Housing Design Awards Chair Gareth Capner, who praised its roots in the influential HAPPI report. Jeremy Porteus, CEO of Housing LIN, also expressed pride in the project's success, calling it a benchmark for future housing developments.
