HLINks Weekly: Housing, Health, and Social Care Latest News
9 December 2024
We're excited to celebrate HAPPI Awareness Week (Dec 9–13) for the fifth year, raising awareness of the ten Housing our Ageing Population Panel for Innovation (HAPPI) principles and the importance of designing care-ready, age-friendly housing.
The HAPPI principles offer guidelines for architects, urban planners, and designers to create environments that support well-being, sustainability, and quality of life. Championed in the UK by the Housing LIN, they address the growing need for housing that is adaptable and suitable for an ageing population.
This week, we'll share a new report on older people's housing preferences, an insightful comment piece from Housing LIN members on the UK’s upcoming National Housing Strategy, and a blog from a former HAPPI Hour speaker on designing multi-unit housing for social well-being.
Look for these updates in next week’s HLINks or stay connected via our news page and LinkedIn!
Thank you for being a part of our community. We hope you find this week's HLINks newsletter both informative and engaging. Stay tuned for more updates in the weeks to come!
Best wishes,
The Housing LIN Team |
