Deputy PM responds positively to 'Creating homes we want to grow old in' report

The Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, Angela Rayner MP, has written to the Housing and Ageing Alliance in response to their letter urging action on the Older People’s Housing Taskforce recommendations.

House of Lords Built Environment Committee announces New Towns Inquiry

The House of Lords Built Environment Committee has announced an Inquiry into new towns - with a first module entitled 'Building New Towns: Practical Delivery' - and issued a call for evidence.
It will focus on the fundamental, practical considerations for delivering towns, answering the basic question: is the construction of new towns and expanded settlements practicable and achievable?
Welsh Government reallocates £2.2 million for the Disabled Facilities Grant

The Welsh Government has announced a reallocation of £2.2m to the Disabled Facilities Grant to support housing adaptations for older and disabled people, with the aim of enabling them to live more independently and safely in their own homes for longer.
NHF launches new campaign to Save Our Supported Housing

The Housing LIN is proud to be a signatory to a new campaign initiated by the National Housing Federation to bolster funding for supported housing in the forthcoming Comprehensive Spending Review.
