Cycle Storage in Extra Care Schemes
Local Planning Officers are insisting that our EC scheme must conform to general housing requirements in terms of cycle storage. We want to offer flexible buggy charging/cycle storage as we believe that the level of cycle storage they require won't be used, especially as we expect that around 50% of residents will meet ASC eligibility criteria. We will be providing separate cycle storage for staff. Does anyone have figures for cycle usage by residents on EC schemes and/or any experience of successfully arguing the case with planners?
