Overview

This webinar addresses the challenges surrounding diversity. We know there is a lack of understanding of the genetic basis of disease in different ethnicities. According to research, Black people are approximately twice as likely as white people in the same community to develop Alzheimer’s disease. Older LGBT people are more likely to be single and more likely to live on their own than heterosexual people. Innovating in the name of inclusivity means creating solutions, products, and environments that consider and address the diverse needs of all people, regardless of their background, gender, beliefs, abilities, or circumstances.

This webinar is aimed at anyone involved in housing and dementia, particularly housing providers, community groups, local authorities and people living with dementia.
