Description

Investing in solutions, making it happen

This event, organised by the Housing Learning and Improvement Network (LIN), is our second Annual Conference. We are immensely grateful to all our sponsors for the support they have given and for making this event possible this year.

Hot off the heels of the government's Care for our Future White Paper, and the announcement of up to £300m for specialised housing, the conference promises to bring together the latest innovative research, policy and practice developments that can help enable you to make the case for Extra Care Housing in the current financial climate.

With an impressive cast of keynote speakers, 2 panel debates and 10 knowledge & innovation exchange sessions (opens new window), there will also be an excellent opportunity for you to learn about, question and discuss the most up-to-date ideas, policy and funding information and access professional advice needed to plan, develop, manage, finance and advance the housing with care choices for older people. Scroll down to see the programme.

To coincide with the theme of the event, the Housing LIN and our partners are publishing a selection of new documents. These a collection of papers on future funding models, briefings on, toolkits on planning for an ageing society and research findings from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation's A Better Life programme. These can be picked up and will also be handed out at the related Sessions.

In addition, networking is a significant element of the conference with time allowed for delegates to chat with their peers, talk with the exhibitors and find out more about investing in solutions.

And finally, during the conference, there will be a collection to raise money for Ty Hafan, a children's hospice in Cardiff. They do tremendous work for children, young people and their families. You will find an envelope on each table and a generous donation would be much appreciated.

This conference is organised by the Housing Learning and Improvement Network in association with Elderly Accommodation Counsel (opens new window), 89 Albert Embankment, London SE1 7TP
