Workshop Instructions

Tickets to the workshops will be allocated on a 'first come, first serve' basis when you collect your name badge at the registration desk on the morning of the conference.

We would therefore be grateful if you could take a close look at the programme and decide which two you would like to attend in advance.

Workshops details:

  1. Healthy Homes Oldham - Nigel Bank, Group Sustainability Director at Keepmoat and John Rooney, Head of Housing, Response Services & Districts, Oldham Council
    John will give a brief summary of the approach taken by Oldham Council and partners to improve the housing offer for older people and improve the health of wellbeing of residents. Nigel Banks will then outline further details of the award-winning Warm Homes Oldham scheme, which was the first payments by results scheme in the country to address fuel poverty and assisted 2,200 people in its first two years.
    Originally a Town Planner, John has had a varied career in local government, including experience in regeneration, community safety, neighbourhood management, emergency planning, housing and planning. He is currently Head of Housing, Response Services and Districts at Oldham Council and is a member of SOLACE and Vice Chair of the Greater Manchester Housing Officers Group.

Important notice: the conference is provided free of charge to those registered in advance to attend and who subsequently attend. However, we reserve the right to charge those who register and subsequently fail to attend for the full cost of a conference place. This is due to the LIN incurring irrecoverable costs based on numbers of those registered in advance to attend. Non-attenders will be invoiced and pursued for payment. By registering you unreservedly accept these terms and conditions. The cost of this conference is £150 plus VAT per head.
