This week’s HLINks: 25 - 29 April 2022

Welcome to #Jeremytalks and our must-read weekly bulletin HLINks.
In this edition, we draw attention to Policy Connect's new report, ‘Smarter Homes for Independent Living: Putting people In Control of their Lives’ that looks at how smart home technology is a huge opportunity for disabled and older people to take control of their lives, to live independently with more choice and control over their lives.
This week, we also celebrated Global Intergenerational Awareness Week 2022, a campaign connecting everyone who is passionate about everything intergenerational. The Housing LIN has happily signed up to show our support by sharing a selection of resources that you may find useful on intergenerational and multi-generational living.
We also remind readers that the deadline to supply evidence to the current APPG on Housing and Care for Older People Inquiry, ‘Making retirement living affordable: the role of shared ownership housing’ is 4 May 2022.
And remember, there’s still time to apply to become one of The Dunhill Medical Trust’s TAPPI2 “testbeds”. (opens new window) The deadline for submissions is 16 May 2022.
And in other news that caught my interest, we signpost to:
- Housing 2022: Stress Awareness Month speaker interview with Jeremy Porteus (opens new window)
- Llywodraeth Cymru Welsh Government Strategy for an ageing society: Delivery plan (opens new window)
- The Church of England: Archbishops’ Commission on Reimagining Care - Listening and Engagement Exercise (opens new window)
