This week's HLINks: 28 March – 1 April 2022

Welcome to #Jeremytalks (opens new window) and our must-read weekly bulletin, HLINks, week-ending Friday, 1 April 2022

In this week's HLINks, we report on two new fantastic The Dunhill Medical Trust (DMT) funded projects that hit the Housing LIN headlines.

The first is the formal launch of TAPPI2 at the ITEC conference in Birmingham this week. Following the DMT's recent announcements that they are seeking a Co-production and Engagement Partner and an Evaluation and Share Learning Partner, the next phase of TAPPI involves four demonstrator sites implementing the findings and 10 foundational principles from last year's TAPPI Inquiry. The Housing LIN is delighted to be responsible for hosting the TAPPI2 microsite and curating content as phase 2 develops.

The second item is the new Amar Bari, Amar Jibon research project with The Open University and Bangla Housing Association. Meaning ‘My Home, My Life’, the project was launched on Saturday to coincide with Bangladesh Independence Day. The Housing LIN is proud to be a knowledge partner in this 30-month project into the housing needs of the older ('probin') Bangladeshi community in Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets

On Monday, the government also published its new guidance on Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) delivery. The DFG guidance will help local authorities to meet their responsibilities, including legal duties, and tailor local delivery to support their communities and the individual needs of disabled people, their family and carers.
