Doing it for ourselves: Self-help groups for people with dementia living in extra care housing schemes
This Housing LIN Case Study no 80, funded by the JRF, showcases interim findings from the Mental Health Foundation's on-going evaluation of three peer support groups for people in the early stages of dementia living in 3 Housing21 extra care housing schemes. It highlights the groups as a promising approach for reducing social isolation, increasing social networks and improving wellbeing for participants. A full report is due this Spring.
