Description

This event is supported by the Housing LIN

This event will be held at Crowne Plaza, Nottingham on 6th & 7th April 2011

The event promises to be an ideal opportunity to learn more about the funding, development and realisation of Extra Care and gives an excellent opportunity to network with those working in housing, development, health and social care.

Programme

Audience

This event is aimed at senior managers and decision makers in local authorities, registered providers and housing organisations from the private and public sectors. The event will be essential to providers of extra care housing, and anyone providing housing for older people especially those in the arena of social care and care services, including commissioners of housing, health and care services. It will be relevant to all housing professionals and will also be of value to anyone with an interest in developing a better understanding of housing and housing related support for older people and those working in a health related environment.

Aims

Leaders from the industry will ensure delegates can effectively answer questions such as:

  • Are you aware of the difference in approach towards older person's housing brought by the Coalition Government?
  • Have you considered how you can capitalise on taking a broader perspective to extra care? For example, across public and private sector housing and incorporating care solutions for older people.
  • Do you really understand the increasingly different needs and aspirations of older people?

The programme also includes:

  • How you can improve your housing and related support services
  • The latest good practice initiatives from leading professionals
  • Expert views on new ways of delivering extra care services
  • The opportunity to network with fellow professionals and be involved in interactive discussions to influence future directions
